A special City Council Retreat or meeting has been set for Thursday September 14th, 2023 at 8:00am. It will be held at the Springhill Suites by Marriott Dallas/Rockwall in room Siena 1, at 2601 Lakefront Trail, Rockwall, TX 75032.
Per the agenda:
“Hold a retreat, workshop, and discussion facilitated by The McMillion Group regarding future goals, challenges, strengths, and opportunities; define/clarify roles/responsibilities of staff and council members and each group’s contributions; explore importance/successful outcomes of teamwork and collaboration; review the foundation of City Core Values, modify and/or update as needed, and methods of aligning actions/initiatives within these core values; overview of parliamentary procedures and applicability under Roberts Rules of Order and Council Rules of Procedure; establish strategies for maintaining a respectful environment within Council and staff; and establish effective strategies for implementing Council decisions/initiatives, best practices and goal alignment.
