At last night’s council meeting, council voted unanimously to approve adding new signage and street striping near Johnson and Willet Elementary Schools to help with the traffic flow problems from last school year around these new schools. Also noted were the safety concerns of citizens congesting these streets when emergency vehicles may need to get through. The city is working with Forney ISD to help spread the word to parents at these schools of the changes. The Forney Police Department may be on site early on to help warn parents who are not aware or choose to ignore the new signage and striping that will be installed.
